Boasting beautiful soft white sand, warm clear water, an impressively wide coastline and plenty of restaurants and hotels within walking distance, you’ll be hard-pressed to be bored here. The beach also has a vibrant nightlife that attracts a partying crowd as well. The beach is loud day and night with music and if not the sounds of the jet skis roaring about. If you’re looking for excitement, this is the place to be.

2. Railay Beach, Krabi

Railay Beach, Krabi

While technically a part of the mainland, this beach is only accessible via a boat. Railay Beach exudes a desert island atmosphere that you won’t come across on most popular beaches within the country. Railay Beach is surrounded by an impressive cluster of small islands on the horizon, majestic cliffs as well as some gorgeous clear blue water all around. Calmer during the off-peak season, you’ll have access to a variety of activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and rock climbing. This beach is perfect for those in search of some peace and quiet, surrounded by some breathtaking scenery, the beach is utterly relaxing.

3. Kata Beach, Phuket

Kata Beach, Phuket

Located a few miles away from the busy atmosphere of Patong Beach, you’ll find a relaxed beach in Southern Phuket known as Kata Beach. Kata offers everything that Phuket is known for, from the warm water, gorgeous scenery to the palm trees, this beach has it all. During the low season, the intense waves in the area bring in many surfers who love the challenge, however, children are strictly advised to stay clear of the area during this season as well.

4. Hua Hin Beach, Hua Hin

Hua Hin Beach

Popular with both locals and tourists alike, Hua Hin Beach is located right on the Gulf of Siam. Its popularity stems from an abundance of flat beaches, various things to do in the Hua Hin area and relative ease of travel from the city of Bangkok. Since the beach slopes slightly into the gulf, it isn’t recommended for swimming, however, it is an excellent place for families who have small children.

5. Sairee Beach, Koh Tao

Sairee Beach, Koh Tao

Sairee Beach was once a location used exclusively as a base by divers, and today visitors realize that Koh Tao has a whole lot more to offer than just as a spot to rest up and eat between dives. Sairee Beach is a one mile stretch of beautiful white sand that showcases a remarkable view of the small islands on the horizon, it is Koh Tao’s most popular beach as well. You’ll find plenty of restaurants to catch an amazing dish. Getting to the beach involves a ferry trip from its nearby airport Samui, and as such remains relatively uncrowded.
