1. Castilnovo Watchtower
The Castilnovo Watchtower is located on the Castilnovo Beach, in the Andalusian municipality of Conil de la Frontera, province of Cadiz. It was ordered to be done by the Duke of Medina Sidonia. The small fortress had a mayor, with voice and vote in the town council and that was until the middle of the eighteenth century when the tsunami of 1755 destroyed the enclosure, of which only the tower would remain.
2. Playa de Castilnovo
The Playa de Castilnovo is part of an extension that runs for several kilometers, ending in the “pueblo blanco” of Conil de la Frontera. The extension runs from Castilnovo to Tarifa and is divided into four sections. It is a very wide, open beach, and is also quite wild; be aware that it is frequented by nudists, especially in the more remote parts of Conil near the mouth of the river.

4. Tower of Guzmán
Located in the Plaza de Santa Catalina, de Conil de la Frontera is one of the few historic buildings in the town and has a special place in its heart. Gothic style, it was built by “Guzmán el Bueno” in the early fourteenth century to defend the Muslims along with others located along the coast. It was called Guzman Tower for over two centuries. Its location sets the stage for the celebration of events and shows throughout the summer, especially the Fiestas de la Virgen del Carmen held in July.
5. Museo Municipal de Raíces Conileñas
In the municipal museum in the main square in Conil, Catalina Square, you can go back in time. In fact, it seems like the house of a fisherman from the early twentieth century. There are several rooms dedicated to working tools and crafts, as well as bedrooms and kitchens.
